Well, The critique function is more useful than I thought because I decided that [link] needed to grow and flourish and turn into an A3 watercolour/pencil drawing. Thus trying to milk and expand the idea until its dried and shrivelled, like an old woman.
Sadly, I had to take a photo of it, and I tryed to edit it back to its original state - and failed. The smoke is much softer in the real version... I'll re-submit when I have a scanned version. A3, Watercolour, Mechanical pencil, White ink. Time.. About 12 hours over 2 days, Cross-hatchings a bitch.... P.S, Not a mummy. P.P.S =HopeInDespair needs a mention for her amazing critique skillz. Thankies, love! EDIT!!! I scanned it, spliced it, upped the contrast and now you can all see it as was it originally intended to be seen. If you faved it and you don't like it anymore - feel free to un-fave and tell me whats wrong. Comments

I was only suggesting that you do maybe a faint colour wash, but you totally went above and beyond with the texture. Comparing this one with the last one, you can easily see the difference not only in aesthetic appeal as well as further intensifying the mood, but overall performance. The older one, while a little creepy, has NOTHING on the jitters this piece gives me. (In a good way.)
The piece is definitely more balanced, but I think you need just a little more darnkess up there in the left hand upper corner. Then, your balance would be perfect. (Keep in mind I'm kind of OCD about that kind of stuff
I also love how this piece has much more value than your older one. Who knows how many times I've said this, but I'll say it again. Value can make or break your piece. DON'T leave home without it. EVER.
I love the addition of the bandages as well, and you did a great job giving them that old egyptian mummy bandage feel. They look nice and rotten!
And, finally, the smokeys. MUCH better now. You've also given it some perspective, whether you realize it or not. It almost looks as if the smokeys are sort of drawing you in to the piece. My friend sitting beside me suggests maybe making one that looks like it's coming out towards you from the center
Maybe just a LITTLE more purple to the smokeys? Just a little?
But, like I said, I love it now. A lot. A lot lot.
