Mr Markson and the "What to Do Now" list

_{Sometimes I get myself into problems that its morally wrong to run away from.

My God-Mothers nephew started radiotherapy on monday, and I've promised myself and my mum and him that I would draw a picture for him, something bright happy and positive. Something that says, I don't feel sorry for you (because, empathy is better), but I really care about what your going through and I hope upon hope that you get over this - because to lose your life when your 16 or 17 is just cruel.

This is where I run blank.

Every happy picture I've ever drawn lacks meaning or any sort of feeling at all. I don't want to give him something that has no meaning, that looks like I haven't put emotion and thought into it.

I just don't know what to do...

Usually I'm not a big fan of poems.. or any literature... My spelling is evidence of that But SOMETHING in this spoke to me, I'm not sure what, but its worth a read!!! Don't forget to fave, or you might find some rat-sack in your rations!!!

I love cemeterys, especially the big old monuments, they always have an interesting story and they seem to force the viewer into a state of quiet respect, slightly monarch-like actually.
This is a brilliant shot and the bright colours are a contrast to the usual cemetery photography. Fave or I'll grab your nostrils and tear your face in half!!!

Sorry if you entered a picture and I didn't put it up. I've deceided I'll do this features thing regularly.. SO maybe next time?}

Do you do landscapes? If you do, you could do one that is set in the night time, and then fades to day, the night part can have dark and broken stuff and as it goes towards the day it gets more "nice" and non broken, I.E. the left is night, the right is day and in between is in between. you can have it look barren and have dead trees and rubbish in the night bit, deadish and a bit cleaner and less barren in the middle, and clean and healthy and filled with plants on the day bit, And say something like the sun will rise.

That is actually a really, really good idea! I would do it if I didn't fail miserably at landscapes..

=/ Yeah...I know how that feels. It seems impossible, doesn't it?
Honestly though, it's the thought that counts. He will love anything you draw for him. Make sure you visit him or call him regularly just so he knows people really do care.
When you're in a situation like that, material items don't really mean as much as knowing that people care about you.
So even if the picture isn't your best [[the landscape idea from princess-vampy]] or if it doesn't have any hidden meaning behind it, I'm sure he'll love it.

=/ Yeah. It's the truth.
My boyfriend has Leukemia. He was in the hospital for awhile. Luckily, he's better now. But it felt impossible to make him feel better. Honestly though all he needed was to know I love and care about him.

My grandma had many types of cancer, and she passed just this winter. I know how that feels, you want to do something so much, but all they need is to know you are there.
